Updating! YAY! (it has been too long Blogspot hugs computer)

A good many things have happened since my last journal entry and I just haven't found time to sit down and type them out. I've been trying to write out my frustrations before they turn into problems and that seems to be assisting my thought process. Which is a much needed thing for a scatterbrained Andrea.

The kittens have gone off to their new homes. (well 2 of them). Since my roommate has decided to buy 2 of the kittens from me and I am keeping Tesla.... I still have 4 cats. hehe. 4 Super adorable Siamese cats. <3>

My move out-of-province, has been delayed by about a year. I have been given an almost-full-time job up on my floor at the hospital, and therefore I need to finish paying off my camera, a new bed is in order, and I'm looking into new wheels to get my lazy ass up to work. So about a year or so before I actually move. but that is ok too. I'll get where I need to be. In time.

Things with the boy I WAS seeing didn't turn out as well as I had hoped. Now, I have started seeing someone else (not official yet), but he makes me incredibly happy and I can be my complete odd self around him. It's more of a mutual weirdness kind of deal. <3>

As for my yoga routine, I've gotten a bit more slack on it. Now trying to get back into it more, but I've discovered a hidden love for "hooping" which is essentially dancing with hula hoops. Very lovely.

So for those of you who don't know who I am. I am an amateur photographer. I have various pictures from Saint John, NB. Which has been my home for the past 3 years. The summer of 2011 I will be changing latitudes and moving to somewhere new! New to myself anyway. I've barely been outside my own front door, but I love exploring and therefore want to see some of our beautiful country before I lose track of time and end up working at the same place for 15 years!

So I just noticed I haven't updated my blog in quite some time! I've been busy! First off I got a new kitty! It's a terrible shame he ran away a mere 2 months after I got him. But on the bright side he did impregnate my female chocolate Siamese so in another month I should have adorable purebred kittens scampering about!

Letters of a Broken Heart

I'm sure you don't want to talk to me. I am the "psycho-ex" Why would you want to talk to someone who would remind you of all the fun we used to have. All the laughs we shared, the memories we created. Why would you want to do that?

I understand it would be awkward to see each other, but it hurts knowing that you told me you loved me then one day you didn't anymore. One day you decided you wanted to see other people; and you left me. You left me alone and cold, with no way to defend myself.

Walking through the city hurts me too much. I don't want to walk by your street, it reminds me of you; but I still drive by hoping I can catch a glimpse and see that you are happy. Hoping that you realize what you have done to me. You told me we needed a break, then that we wouldn't be getting back together, and then I see pictures of you and another girl laughing on your Facebook. How long were you seeing her without my knowledge before you decided you would give up about 3 years of happiness for a shot in the dark.?

Know what? I hope you fall in love with her. I hope she leads you on. And then I hope that someday she looks you dead in the eyes and tells you that you are not worth a thing to her. That she wants to date other people and never see you again. Until that happens to you, you will never know the pain and suffering I have gone through. Will never know how many nights I have stayed up crying over you and wishing I could go back in time, or that you had put some effort in to fix things. But you didn't want that.... You wanted the easy way out.

Know what? You made me not trust men anymore. You made me build a giant wall around my heart so no one could get in. You tagged it as your own, destroyed it, put a padlock on it and walked away. I can't fix my broken heart. I have tried. Nothing works.

Everyday I am filing away at that lock trying to get it open so I can clean up my life. Someday I'll either break through the lock or burn the place to the ground and start over.

It's been 6 months. I'm still a huge mess. The crying isn't as frequent, but the pain in my heart is.

I need someone to help hold it together while I slowly sew it back up.

Springtime Movers.

For those who don't know me, I am a springtime mover. As in I have changed apartments every year in the spring since moving out on my own. Some people think I am a bit odd for doing so, but I quite enjoy the change and also find good reason to move. For example: this time I am moving as it will save me money in the long haul by having a roommate to share expenses with. So I may actually post some photos up here for people to peek at before we get all our things in there, so you can have a general idea of what I look for in a place to live. Even though I don't have much traffic on my blog, someday I might, and I sure as hell don't want it to look so "blah" with just lots of text and a few links.

I am also completely decorating the place myself as my future roommate lacks my unique sense of style, (or he just doesn't want to put up with me if I don't get my way he he )

Also the car is working great considering my flat tire incident a few weeks ago. Hopefully that store has repaired the massive pothole that bent my rim and flattened my poor tire.

And that is it for me today, I am off to the hospital for a night shift. Hopefully everyone is doing well.

So I finally decided to update my blog (it's been awhile, I know) So new things going on in my life!

1. Got a new car! My very first car, a cute little red 2005 Chev Aveo. I've been driving around aimlessly because I still can't get over that it's mine. (I think many people get like this as well).

2. My older sister delivered a beautiful baby boy on Saturday, March 6, 2009. Making me a very happy aunt. Parker Howard Paul.... I held him today for the first time ever, and my heart melted. So I am extremely happy and love him (even though I don't like children in general). Oh well! Now to prepare for baby filled activities!

Pubstumpers is going great, my father is the newest member of Quizzed in My Pants! and shall be returning shortly for more trivia fun! Well, that's all I have to update with for now. Hope everyone has a safe and happy Easter!

Something You Didn't Know Untill Now!

I was just using stumbleupon today, (For those of you who don't know what it is, please see http://www.stumbleupon.com/) and low and behold, I came across a page that shocked me. Not in a disturbing image, or video kind of way, or a blog filled with racism, slurs, or controversial religious propaganda; oh no. It was just about one recipe that will forever change how I view one fruit.

That's Right! The banana! I had no idea that when pureed, it turns into a thick creamy treat! Since I am a lactose intolerant, I thought this would be the perfect summer treat for the lactose intolerant, vegetarian, vegan, or people who just like making new healthier choices.

So something recent that has happened in our lovely city.

It is quite unfortunate, but could have been prevented I think. Most townhouses, apartment buildings, and houses in our city are usually anywhere from 50-100+ years old and have not been updated for awhile! If the apartments were newly fitted with proper installation, people were more careful while smoking, and electrical wiring was updated, we could prevent most of these fires from happening!

Hopefully this incident made some landlords realize how quickly your assets can go up in flames, or at least the tenants are now aware of the need for insurance and emergency plans just in case (hey, a fireproof safe doesn't hurt either.) I just hope that this year our city doesn't see so much fire as previous years.

Well here we go! The very first blog from Gizmo! I'm very excited to be starting a blogging website :) Have always wanted to give it a go, and now that my work has settled down a bit I can finally try this.

NEWS: Gizmada won another round at PubStumpers. For those of you who aren't familiar with the game. It's basically a trivia game (similar to trivial pursuit, but without levels). In Saint John, we trivia fanatics gather every Tuesday at Big Tide Brewing Company (Located on Princess St. right across from O'Leary's), to compete against other teams of 8 players to try and win prizes and claim the title of first place! Prizes include both a "Beer round" and a "Nacho round." If your team gets the most points in either round, you win either a pitcher of beer for your team or a plate of nachos. Simple fun for an otherwise boring night in Saint John. There is no pressure to drink, or order an item off the menu, it's just an added perk.

In conclusion, great game, great fun, great friends and a chance to meet new people in the city if you are new. Best if you love random trivia and have a head full of "useless" knowledge.
